Today is the final part of the series on how to sustain prosperity and success.
He sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God; and as long as he sought the Lord, God made him prosper.
–2 Chronicles 26:5
Conversely, it means whenever Uzziah lost sight of God, maybe because he got sucked up in the pressures and demands of his office and time seemed too little in between to maintain a fellowship with God, he must have struggled and failed miserably.
This is the secret of sustaining greatness, prosperity, success, wealth and other privileges of life. You have to seek God in them. It takes God to keep what God gives. Many people have lost their endowments after some time because they substituted such privileges for God and started to worship the gifts rather than the Giver. Without a doubt, that is a sure route to losing it all. God does not take kindly to being replaced with His blessing. Doing so is a shortcut to being stripped of them.
So, the key to sustaining your blessings and other privileges is not to relegate God to the background with the excuse of no time. You must continue to seek Him. That dreamed job that you finally landed must not drive you away from your fellowship with God, you must make time for Him.
That massive business opportunity that you have been believing God must not alienate you from your Maker, you must still stay connected to your ultimate Benefactor. That dream spouse that you finally tied the nuptial knot with should not drop God in your hierarchy of priorities; the same way the child(ren) that He blessed you with should not reduce your commitment to God.
How do you stay connected to God? By constant prayers, intercession for others, Bible study, ministering God to others, maintaining fellowship with the brethren, commitment in your local church, among others. Of course, time is a limited resource and you might feel there isn’t enough of it to do all of these and still be on top of your game in your career or business.
Remember, God made the time and it is to the extent that He allows that you can do whatever you do in time. So, it won’t be a bad idea to block some more time in your schedule for Him in addition to the Sunday rote, It could be your lifeline to keeping them all.
You will succeed in Jesus Name!
