Benefits of Wisdom (9): Triple Advantage
The Lord by wisdom founded the earth; By understanding He established the heavens; – Proverbs 3:19
We are back to our series on the benefits that wisdom avails whoever possesses it. Another advantage that wisdom affords is the ability to start something and hit it right at the initial go. Wisdom helps you get started. It doesn’t stop there; it also helps you to start on the right note, while guiding you through the process of sustaining what you start. This is because wisdom doesn’t just launch into any endeavour without first thinking through the process and then counting the cost if it is able to start off with manageable friction and execute with relative success (Luke 14:28-32). It takes care of the pros and cons, but it doesn’t sit unnecessarily long on the analysis that it won’t start what it sets out to do.
From the above passage, we are told that God created the earth by wisdom. If you take a flight out of the hustle and bustle of daily human activities and take a look at nature in its raw form, you will realise what a beautiful world we live in. The sheer beauty of the earth is an indication of the ingenuity of wisdom through the hands of God. Aside from this, the fact that the earth has lasted for so many years is yet another testimony to the sustaining ability of wisdom. Whatever wisdom creates lasts.
That is why we need it in our day-to-day activities. No endeavour is too mundane for its deployment, and none is too lofty for its application. It helps you put things in perspective; it gets you started on the right course, and it keeps you going. Few things can set you on such a triple vantage. Wisdom has no substitute.
You will succeed in Jesus Name!
