Thankfulness Makes for Peace
How can we feel thankful when so much is wrong, so much is difficult, so much is not the way we’d like it to be? In today’s Gospel passage, we see Jesus crying. We know this same sorrow. We have felt the pain of crying for others, grieving over the harm that they are doing to themselves by remaining in sin or addictions or bad decisions, mourning also because of the harm that they are doing to us and to others. When we have felt this way, we have felt HIS pain, Christ’s own pain.
To build a sustainable entity you need wisdom, and wisdom comes from God alone. That is why you cannot take the God factor away from whatever you are doing. James 1:5 attests that wisdom indeed comes from God: “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”
How To Build A Sustainable Entity: Building The God’s Way. The Lord by wisdom founded the earth; by understanding He established the heavens; by His knowledge the depths were broken up, and clouds drop down the dew. – Proverbs 3:19-20
This passage offers us an unusual insight into the creative strategy of God. After having created the structure (the heavens and earth) as the base for His operations, He thereafter proceeded to create light, a system of illumination, so He could appreciate His projects.
God’s purpose for your life predates your existence. And every experience you’ve had until now has been preparing you for that grand purpose because God is always at work in you to make you willing and able to obey His own purpose (Philippians 2:13). Your responsibility is to align yourself with what God is doing by having a personal revelation of His plan for your life.
Consequently, as you become more conformed to the image of Christ you become more empowered to fulfil destiny. In like manner, the progressive fulfilment of your specific destiny should cause you to be more conformed to the image of Christ.

Teach your child the way of the Lord so that when he grows, he may not depart. But teach him also the ways of the world so that he may live long enough to walk in the ways of the Lord.
But when I turned to look at all that I had accomplished and all the hard work I had put into it, I saw that it was all pointless. It was like trying to catch the wind. I gained nothing from any of my accomplishments under the sun.
