Stay Grateful

Stay Grateful

Stay Grateful

A famous writer was in his study room. He picked up his pen and started writing:

“Last year, I had surgery and my gallbladder was removed. I had to stay stuck to the bed due to this surgery for a long time.

“The same year I reached the age of 60 years and had to give up my favourite job in the publishing company in which I had spent 30 years of my life.

“The same year I experienced the sorrow of the death of my father.

“And in the same year, my son failed in his medical exams because he had a car accident. He had to stay in bed at the hospital with the cast on for several days. The destruction of the car was another loss.

In the end, he wrote: “Alas! It was such a bad year!”

When the writer’s wife entered the room, she found her husband looking sad and lost in his thoughts. From behind his back, she read what was written on the paper, left the room silently, and came back with another paper which she placed on the side of her husband’s writing.

The husband found the following written on the paper:

“Last year, I finally got rid of my gall bladder from which I had spent years in pain.

“I turned 60 with sound health and got retired from my job. Now I can utilise my time to write something better with more focus and peace.

“The same year my father, at the age of 95, without depending on anyone or without any critical condition met his Creator.

“The same year, God blessed my son with a new life. My car was destroyed but my son stayed alive without getting any disability.

In the end, she wrote: “Last year was an immense blessing of God and it passed well!”

See. The same incidents but different viewpoints.

In our daily lives, we must see that it is not happiness that makes us grateful but gratefulness that makes us happy. There is always, always, always something to be thankful for!

Your current position is somebody’s future expectation. Your life now is somebody’s prayer request. Don’t let the devil point at you that somebody is doing better than you. It is a strategy for ingratitude.

Anything you celebrate multiplies, anything you despise diminishes. Appreciation is the vehicle for acceleration. Gratitude is the lift to great altitude. To see what God will do, you must acknowledge what God has done.

Stay grateful.

Meditation: In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.1 Thessalonians 5:18

The Infinite Aspects of All Realities

The Infinite Aspects of All Realities

The Infinite Aspects of All Realities
A group of blind men heard that a strange animal, called an elephant, had been brought to the town, but none of them were aware of its shape and form. Out of curiosity, they said: “We must inspect and know it by touch, of which we are capable”.
So, they sought it out, and when they found it they groped about it. In the case of the first person, whose hand landed on the trunk, said “This being is like a thick snake”.
For another one whose hand reached its ear, it seemed like a kind of fan. As for another person, whose hand was upon its leg, said, the elephant is a pillar-like, a tree trunk. The blind man who placed his hand upon its side said, “Elephant is a wall”.
Another who felt its tail described it as a rope. The last felt its tusk, stating the elephant is that which is hard, smooth and like a spear.”
Whenever anyone takes a partial, unconditional view of the ultimate reality and denies the possibility of another aspect of that reality, it is an instance of the above parable and a defective view. All reality has infinite aspects and attributes, all assertions can only be relatively true. This does not mean scepticism or doubt is the right path to knowledge, but that any philosophical assertion is only conditionally, partially true. Any and all viewpoints, that do not admit an exception are false views.

Heaven’s Grocery Store

Heaven’s Grocery Store

Heaven’s Grocery Store

As I was walking down life’s

highway many years ago

I came upon a sign that read

Heaven’s Grocery Store.

When I got a little closer

the doors swung open wide

And when I came to myself

I was standing inside.

I saw a host of angels.

They were standing everywhere

One handed me a basket and said

“My child, shop with care.”

Everything a human needed

was in that grocery store

And what you could not carry

you could come back for more.

First I got some Patience.

Love was in that same row.

Further down was Understanding,

you need that everywhere you go.

I got a box or two of Wisdom

and Faith a bag or two.

And Charity, of course,

I would need some of that, too.

I couldn’t miss the Holy Ghost

It was all over the place.

And then some Strength and Courage

to help me run this race.

My basket was getting full but I remembered I needed Grace,

And then I chose Salvation for

Salvation was for free

I tried to get enough of that to do for you and me.

Then I started to the counter

to pay my grocery bill,

For I thought I had everything

to do the Master’s will.

As I went up the aisle, I saw

Prayer and put that in,

For I knew when I stepped outside

I would run into sin.

Peace and Joy were plentiful,

the last things on the shelf.

Song and Praise were hanging near

so I just helped myself.

Then I said to the angel

“How much do I owe?”

He smiled and said

“Just take them everywhere you go.”

Again, I asked “Really now,

how much do I owe?”

“My child,” he said,

“God paid your bill a long, long time ago.

May today there be peace within

May you trust your highest power that you are exactly where you are meant to be

May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith

May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.

May you be content knowing you are a child of God.

Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, and to bask in the sun.

It is there for each and every one of us.

Meditation: Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you. – Philippians 4:8-9

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.Romans 12:1-2

Meditation: For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again. Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5:14-19
